I felt cared for by all staff. They were knowledgeable and communicative. Shannon, my exercise physiologist, answered my millions of questions patiently and encouraged me when I was a bit stressed out. I got into much better shape through the exercise program and I was monitored every step of the way.

I've found Carda to be a useful and effective program. My fitness level has improved noticeably as a result of the exercises. My CEP, Tyler N was very attentive and helpful. I suggest that anyone who has suffered a decline from a condition or from aging give this program a fair trial.

The best part of the program was MeKayla. She kept me motivated even when I didn’t feel like doing much. (And of course got stronger as a result) I’m grateful for Carda. I feel so much better and stronger.
“There's nothing like watching a patient finish their program stronger than when they started, and at Carda Health, I get to see that happen again and again. The connection I have with my patients here is different than anything I experienced in a traditional clinic. Carda Health is built by Exercise Physiologists, for Exercise Physiologists, and that patient-first mindset is in everything we do. I've never felt more fulfilled and alive in the workplace than I have since joining Carda Health.”

When it’s time for a session, you simply tap a button on your iPad. You’ll take your blood pressure and heart rate, then meet with your coach to talk about your progress and share any questions you have. Your coach will start an exercise video that’s been selected to give you just enough of a challenge, without pushing you too hard. You’ll exercise while your coach monitors you by video and tracks your breathing. Your coach can also answer questions or help you modify exercises. After the session, you’ll discuss any other needs you have, including your diet, medication questions or health education. A session can take anywhere from 30-45 minutes.
The program is 36 supervised sessions, with 45 minutes for each. Typically, participants join sessions 3 times per week, but Carda Health works with you to create a program that works well with your schedule.
Cardiac wellness services can have many health benefits in the short and long term, such as:
• Strengthening your breathing
• Helping to relieve symptoms and issues
• Building healthier habits such as increasing physical activity
• Reducing stress and improving mood
• Improving your stamina, strength, and breathing for daily activities—from carrying groceries, climbing stairs, or spending time with loved ones
• Lowering your risk of future cardiac issues
Your doctor may have recommended that you exercise, make changes to your diet, or track your vitals. While these are things you could do on your own, having structured services tailored to heart health and designed by your dedicated coach may help you stay on track and possibly lead to a longer, healthier life.
Our services will meet you where you are. You may start with seated exercises, while a live coach is always there to monitor you and suggest modifications, if needed. Carda Health coaches regularly check your vitals to make sure you’re exercising safely, and only doing exercises that you feel comfortable doing. Regular exercise may increase the strength of your lungs, making them more efficient at doing their jobs. This will make your day-to-day activities seem easier.
No, your sessions are held over live video sessions with a dedicated personal coach using the Carda Health app, which you access via an iPad sent to you in your Carda Care Package. You won’t need any special equipment to exercise.
Carda Health reviews your progress via the Carda Health app. Your dedicated personal coach, who is a trained clinician, will monitor your heart rate and blood pressure during every session and evolve your plan as you make progress.
When you begin services, Carda will pull and review your medical history. We will always notify your doctor that you are enrolled and send regular progress updates. In most cases, we do not have to wait for approval to get started. If we do, Carda will work directly with your doctor to make sure you are participating safely.
There are times we may reach out to your doctor for medical guidance to ensure the services are safe and tailored to your needs and abilities. We may contact your doctor if:
1. We need additional information at the enrollment stage.
2. You were recently in the hospital, and we need to confirm it's safe for you to continue services.
3. We need their input on a medical question related to your participation in these services.
When we contact your doctor, we will never:
1. Change, cancel or schedule your medical appointments.
2. Make decisions about your medical care outside of your participation in these services.
